India’s Prestigious distance MBA university-Alagappa University

Alagappa University is considered as the most prestigious distance University for Courses like MBA. It is accredited with A+ grade by the NAAC. The university is located in Tamil Nadu. The main objective of the university is to impart excellent education to its students in terms of quality, improvement and performance. It provides a vision of excellence to all its students.  It originated in the year 1985 with the objective of providing research, development and dissemination of knowledge in various branches of distance education and learning.  

Admission criteria

The aspirants can seek admission directly or even through the approved learning centers mentioned on the official website of the university. If applied directly, the study material will be handed over at that point itself and in case of applying through the service centers the candidates will have to attend the contact classes and the material will be sent by the learning centers as well.

Direct Admission

For the direct admission with the university, following are the documents to be attached along with the application form-

• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate along with a copy attested by the Gazetted Officer. It should be noted that the original certificates will be returned after the verification process.
• Demand Draft for the prescribed total fee drawn in favor of the Director, DDE, Alagappa University payable on any bank at Karaikudi.
• Student Index Card with a stamp size photo and signature should be affixed.
• Fees of Rs-100/- Through Demand Draft (“Favoring the Director, DDE, Alagappa University, Karaikudi”) (OR) payment through cash Counter at DDE campus.
• Copy of Student I.D card.

Admission through Learning Centre

If you are taking admission through the learning centre, then the following documents should be attached-

The filled-in application has to be submitted through the Learning Centers along with the following documents:

• The original qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy of attestation by the Gazetted Officer. (Original Certificates will be returned immediately after verification).
• Student Index Card with a stamp size photo and signature should be affixed.
• The candidate has to submit two Demand Drafts separately towards Course Fee

• One Demand Draft in favor of the Director, DDE, Alagappa University, payable at Karaikudi towards the University Share, and the others in favor of the Learning Centre concerned through whom the candidate seeks admission.
• The above Two Demand Drafts should be submitted to the Learning Centre along with the filled-in Application.
• No Transfer Certificate is required for admission to any of the Courses. However, a ‘Course Completion Certificate’ may be issued for those candidates who apply for it.
• The candidates are advised not to pay any fees in the form of Cash to the Learning Centre under any circumstances.

Eligibility criteria & fee details

The course fees, if applicable for concession (25%) are 9000INR in all cases. The total fee per year is 12000INR. The university share is 7200INR. The learning centre share 4800INR. The students who have passed the degree from the recognized university are eligible for these courses. Similar to the Distance MBA programs offered by Amity, IGNOU, Symbiosis, KSOU, JNU offers top rated MBA in various specialization.
